I had originally set up an item using a quotation mark so I understod from the forum that it was not allowed. I deleted the item. I still could not download the web based database to my touch - continued to hang at item 7. I was able to download to my iPad though without a hitch. I decided to delete and reinstall the app to my touch and the data transfer went well. Today I entered more stuff in the web portal and happily went to sync with my touch but again it hung on item 7 which was not the original item by the way. I've seen in other databases where there can be an index flaw that needs to be manually erased for the error to correct. Syncing now stalls on item 7 to my iPad and my Touch. Ideas?

Hi sandbar,
fav - sweet onion, poppyseed, peppercorn ranch -
The easiest way for me to fix the problem was to delete the price, and now you should be able to download your items. The problem was caused by the notes field becoming too long. I have a new version of the Shopping List app that fixes this problem and will release it soon. Please let me know if you are able to download your items completely now. Jim |

It's great now. Will make limited notes and not use commas which can also sometimes muck things up. Love the app. It's just what I've wanted after using a spreadsheet method and my husband can sync his own touch to the database for the things he buys. Just perfect. |
